Race Day
This was our first BSB Race and the first time at Outlon Park so we didn't really know what to expect. Having spent some time walking around on the first day of the meeting we had decided to stand near Knickerbrook where you could see a reasonable amount of the race and were close enough to the circuit to get some good photos without fences obscuring the view. As expected, this was a popular place so we were glad we'd arrived early, this also meant we avoided the traffic and got to see plenty of action in the warm-ups etc. The weather was overcast and threatening rain, we just hoped it would hold off during the racing.
Oulton Park
We spent the weekend at Oulton Park for the British Superbikes and various other bike racing, the BSB Races are covered elsewhere and here are some of my favourite shots from the BSB Qualifying and other sessions from the weekend
First Stage
This morning we went to the first stages of the 2007 Roger Albert Clark Rally, held at Temple Newsam in Leeds. This is the first Rally to be held at Temple Newsam since the Network Q RAC Rally in 1996 and was organised by the De Lacy Motor Club who are based a few miles away in Knottingley.

Once it got underway the racing was fast and furious, many races in quick succession each lasting only around 10 minutes. The short
Better than the MotoGP
Another great weekend at Donington Park, having thoroughly enjoyed the MotoGP we decided to return for the World Series by Renault. The tickets were free so we took the kids for their first taste of live motorsport knowing that if they got too bored we could leave without wasting serious money on tickets. We needn't have worried as they thought it was
The weather's been fairly awful this summer so we weren't hopeful that it'd stay dry and it even seemed possible that it might need to be cancelled. I was keen to see if I could get some reasonable photos but having never been there before wasn't sure if that would be possible. I took my 5D and Canon 100-400mm IS lens I also had a Canon 1.4x Teleconverter and a Kenko Pro 300 2x with me.
